Acquisition of the “The Queens” Licensed Premises

Doherty Hospitality, owned by Paddy Doherty, acquired the landmark and historic licensed premises, The Queens, nestled in the sought-after and well-established village of Dalkey located on Dublin’s South Coast. Dalkey, steeped in history, was founded as a Viking settlement and became a port in the Middle Ages. Dalkey is a hot spot for the local and wider communities, and tourists boasting of two Castles, a tenth century Church, several scenic and historical walks. There are also boats available to hire at the nearby renowned Bulloch Harbour.

The Queens, founded in the 18th century, is one of Ireland’s longest established licensed premises forming part of the very fabric of Dalkey and is one of the focal points in the village. Dalkey is a hive of cultural activity hosting the Dalkey Book Festival, the Vintage & Classic Car Festival, the Comedy Festival and the Lobster Festival, all of which are supported and embraced by The Queens offering food and drink in a traditional and contemporary unrivalled setting.
