Martina is a Consultant in the Commercial Real Estate Group.

She has 21 years’ experience in commercial property developments, landlord & tenant and banking & insolvency law. This experience has been acquired during many years in private practice, including with leading private practice firms and in-house including:

  • Acquisition and disposal of various types of commercial property in portfolios and single lots, including offices, development land, shopping centres and retail,
  • Negotiation and drafting commercial leases for landlords and tenants,
  • Advice in respect of all landlord and tenant matters,
  • Sale and leasebacks,
  • Detailed due diligence in connection with standalone property transactions or as part of financing transactions,
  • Site assembly,
  • Detailed security reviews,
  • Advice in respect of rights of way, wayleaves and easements,
  • Establishment of residential developments,
  • Advising on corporate and personal insolvency.

Experience highlights:

  • Acting for a prominent international retailer in respect of all commercial and contentious elements arising from their portfolio of over 250 shops, including in respect of purchases, new leases, variations and regears.
  • Acting for Gresham House in the sale of assets and commercial lease matters.
  • Acting on the sale of a large solar farm in County Meath.
  • Acting for a global leader in digital transformation and business optimization in the purchase of Irish commercial premises.
  • Set up, manage and dispose of large multi-use developments comprising of retail, office and residential units.
  • Managing a team tasked with the review of security and title associated with portfolios of loans to identify and remediate issues.
