Chris is a Partner and Head of the Commercial Real Estate Group.

He has extensive experience in acting for clients in significant commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals and lease negotiations.

Chris also advises in respect of corporate matters, including M&A transactions and commercial contracts.

He is also experienced in all aspects of commercial litigation, including advising leading Irish and international companies and individuals on commercial disputes in the Circuit Court, High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

Chris is also a regulator contributor to the Sunday Business Post and has also contributed to the Irish Times and The Times.

  • Acted in the acquisition of single unit and portfolios of commercial property for leading international retailer, including via share and asset purchase agreements

Louise Wright

Louise is a Partner in the Commercial Real Estate Group.

She has over twenty-five years’ experience in property related matters. Her practice area covers all aspects of property law, including:

  • Acquisition and disposal of apartment and office blocks, education centres, nursing homes, retail properties and residential tenanted properties
  • Commercial leasing and all landlord and tenant issues
  • Distressed asset purchases and sales
  • Site assembly
  • Property portfolio sales
  • Property related insurance claims
  • Advice in respect of rights of way, wayleaves and easements
  • All aspects of construction law in relation to housing schemes and the development and completion of residential apartment and office blocks

Louise has advised private equity and fund investors on the acquisition and disposal of high value commercial properties and has also been team lead in multiple landmark commercial property projects.

Prior to joining Moran & Ryan LLP, Louise was a partner at another Irish law firm where she worked for over fifteen years. She is a frequent contributor to Roundhall’s Conveyancing & Property Law Journal.

Caoimhe Connolly is a Partner with extensive experience in employment law, licensing, family and personal injury law.

She advises employers and employees on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law, including acting in WRC, Labour Court and High Court hearings.

Caoimhe has extensive experience in advising on the successful procurement of liquor licences for bars, restaurants and festivals.

She also acts in contentious and non-contentious family law matters and personal injury matters.

Caoimhe is also a Notary Public.

Catharine is a Senior Associate.

She has significant experience in residential & commercial property, wills and probate and commercial matters.

Catharine has extensive experience in acting for clients in various property matters including commercial leases, lease renewals, assignments and property financing as well as residential purchases, sales and re-mortgages.

She trained and qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and has been a practising solicitor here in Ireland for many years having also worked in-house for a company in Germany and for a small law firm in the US.
