Seamus Connolly is Managing Partner of the firm. He has extensive knowledge and experience in relation to commercial property, corporate, planning and litigation matters.
Seamus is also the primary contact with our international clients. He is qualified in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Chris Connolly | Partner
Chris is a Partner and Head of the firm’s Commercial Property Unit.
Chris trained and spent seven years at one of the “Big Five” law firms in the country. He has extensive experience in acting for clients in commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals and lease negotiations. He also has experience acting on behalf of borrowers in negotiations with funds.
He holds a Diploma in Commercial Property from the Law Society of Ireland.
Chris is also experienced in all aspects of commercial litigation, including advising leading Irish and international companies and individuals on commercial disputes in the Circuit Court, High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
In addition, Chris has expertise regarding legal matters in the area of sport. For a number of years, he has advised national and international governing bodies as well as elite athletes on contentious and commercial matters. He has also advised a number of leading international brands on commercial and sponsorship agreements.

Stephen Walker | Partner & Head of Corporate
Stephen has significant expertise and experience across a broad range of commercial areas, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, venture capital, joint ventures and commercial contracts. Stephen’s clients include corporates of all sizes, private equity and commercial enterprises.
Stephen has worked directly with a range of start-ups in various sectors. His work includes advice on transactions, corporate governance and on commercial contract arrangements. Stephen is also a qualified CEDR Mediator.
Caoimhe Connolly | Partner & Registered Trade Marks Agent
Caoimhe Connolly is head of Moran & Ryan’s Civil Litigation Unit.
Having been awarded a Law degree from Trinity College Dublin and a Commercial Litigation Diploma from the Law Society of Ireland, Caoimhe worked for a number of years in small and medium practices in Dublin as well as a leading law firm in Sydney, Australia.
Caoimhe has extensive experience in areas such as employment law, defamation, personal injury, licensing and family law. She is also qualified to practice in Northern Ireland, England and Wales.
Caoimhe has recently been appointed as a Notary Public by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

Martina Devaney | Senior Associate
Martina has 21 years’ experience in Commercial Property Developments, Landlord & Tenant and Banking & Insolvency law. This experience has been acquired during many years in private practice, including with a Top Five law firm and In-House.
Education – Martina holds Diplomas in Commercial Property and Insolvency & Corporate Restructuring from the Law Society of Ireland.
Sorcha Rooney | Property
Sorcha has considerable experience in acting for foreign and domestic investors on the sale and acquisition of property, for financial institutions and other funds on property-based lending and she has been involved in acting for insolvency practitioners in many high profile insolvency cases.
Sorcha is also very experienced in acting in leases of retail units and both office and industrial premises on behalf of landlords and tenants. She works closely with the corporate department in relation to the property elements of mergers and acquisitions, the enforcement of property backed security and in loan sales.
Prior to joining Moran & Ryan she worked with a large commercial law firm and in-house with Ireland’s largest domestic retailer in their legal department.
Education – Bachelor of Corporate Law (LLB), NUI, Galway. Diploma in Family Law, Diploma in Compliance Management from the Law Society of Ireland.
Julie-Anne Flood | Senior Associate
Julie-Anne has 15 years’ experience of all aspects of Commercial & Residential property, Banking, Security, Corporate and Insolvency law. This has been gained by working as an In-House Legal Counsel with two Irish pillar banks and a Top Five law firm.
Education – Julie-Anne holds a Diploma in Applied Finance Law from the Law Society of Ireland.
